
Commissioner Apostle Petuna Chiseri
Commissioner Apostle Petunia Chiriseri is a loving mother to many, a driven woman of virtue, social entrepreneur, development practitioner with a special interest in constitutionalism and in raising balanced leaders for the family, church, market place and nation. She holds a Masters in Business Leadership degree from the University of South Africa, a Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Zimbabwe where she also graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Botany and Zoology. She holds a Counselling Certificate from CONNECT which facilitates the networking
of NGOs and individuals, to enhance and maximise the response to women and children issues in society. She studied Project Management at Manhanga Institute of Management in Swaziland; EMPRETEC (UNDP) Entrepreneurial Development Program; Grooming and Deportment.
She has teaching experience, having taught at various high schools where she taught A’ Level Biology, Science, Maths and was part of Parastatal Examination Board (ZIMSEC). She is part of the National Committee of the Gender Based Violence Prevention Strategy in the Ministry of Women Affairs, Gender and Community Development. She chairs the UNDP aided resource mobilisation team of Ecumenical Christian Leaders Forum. Chairperson of the Thematic Working Group responsible for the protection, promotion and enforcement of Children’s Rights in Zimbabwe.
